This beautiful red secretary/bookcase on desk has the rare feature of eglomise painted mirror doors with birds, figures, and palm trees. The photos do not do the piece justice as the painted mirror doors truly stand out. The chinoiserie/ japanned decoration is in the fall board, drawer fronts, the sides of the desk and case, the pediment, and the interior. The fall board has a tooled leather interior.
The desk is in excellent condition but is missing its shelves in the upper section.
